SABRE MK-60 FILL and PRESSURIZATION INSTRUCTIONS
An MK-60 Refill Kit is required to fill the MK-60. SABRE MK-60 Refill kit contains:
 Refill Instructions
 Plastic funnel
A Charged MK-60 is under high pressure. Never unscrew the NITROGEN CARTRIDGE from a
charged unit. Always ensure all pressure has been released prior to refilling the unit.
 
Always wear proper eye protection and rubber gloves when refilling.
READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY, PRIOR TO FILLING AND PRESSURIZING THE
UNIT. EYE PROTECTION AND RUBBER GLOVES REQUIRED. PRESSURIZE WITH
NITROGEN CARTRIDGE ONLY.
1. Invert canister and depress valve lever /
trigger to release all remaining pressure.
2. Make sure the MK-60 has no pressure remaining. DO
NOT UNSCREW THE ROUND NECK PORTION
EXTENDING FROM THE CANISTER! Unscrew
the firing handle from the neck connection and carefully
empty any remaining formulation. Dispose of
remaining formulation according to local regulations.
3. Place funnel into neck of bottle and carefully pour the
pre-measured contents into canister. Hold funnel ¼" to
½" above where the funnel sits in the neck to allow air
flow and reduce the filling time as shown in image to the
right. (NOTE: Do not put live formulation in a unit
marked for Inert.)

  • Page 2 10. Mark refill date and expiration date of the OC formulation on the side of the canister. The expiration date is listed on the MK-60 refill jug. The MK-60 canister must be hydrostatic tested 5 years from the date on the top of the canister* 11.
