Trigger amplifier

The trigger amplifier (Fig. 19) consists of four push-pull
stages which are directly coupled to each other. The first
three stages are long-tailed pair amplifiers: the fourth
stage is connected as an emitter-follower output —stage.
The balance of the amplifier is adjusted at the first stage
by R605; the quiescent DC-level of the output is ad-
justed by changing the value of R623.
The output of the trigger amplifier is connected to the
trigger amplifier of the main frame via contacts of relay
RE601.
When MODE selector SKS is in the ADDED position,
the relay is energised and the output of the trigger
amplifier is disconnected. The main frame trigger am-
plifier is then connected to the output of the vertical
amplifier.
