ASSEMBLY CARTON CONTENTS Check carton contents for the following: S brushcutter S handlebar screws (2) S blade shield screws (4)
  • Page 5 ATTACHING THE PLASTIC SHIELD AND TRIMMER HEAD WARNING: The shield must be prop- erly installed. The shield provides partial protection from the risk of thrown objects to the operator and others and is equipped with a line limiter blade which cuts excess line to the proper length.
  • Page 6 Gasoline must be mixed with a good quality 2-cycle air-cooled engine oil designed to be mixed at a ratio of 40:1. Poulan/Weed Eater brand oil is recommended. (A 40:1 ratio is ob- tained by mixing 3.2 ounces of oil with 1 gallon of unleaded gasoline).

    Starter Primer Bulb Handle Choke Lever Muffler COLD ENGINE (or warm engine af- ter running out of fuel) S Move the ON/OFF switch to the ON posi- tion. S Slowly press the primer bulb 6 times. S Move choke lever to FULL CHOKE posi- tion.
  • Page 8 S Clean entire surface of hub and spool. S Replace with a pre-wound spool, or cut two lengths of 12-1/2 feet of 0.080” (2 mm) di- ameter Weed Eater brand line. Never use wire, rope, string, etc., which can break off and become a dangerous missile.
