    I. GENERAL OPERATION • Read, understand, and follow all instructions on the machine and in the manual(s) before starting. Be thoroughly familiar with the controls and the proper use of the machine before starting. • Do not put hands or feet near or under rotating parts.

GENERAL SERVICE • Never run a machine inside a closed area. • Never make adjustments or repairs with the motor running. • Keep nuts and bolts, especially blade attachment bolts, tight and keep equip- ment in good condition. • Never tamper with safety devices.     POLARIZED APPLIANCE CONNECTIONS To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) and will require the use of a polarized extension cord. • The appliance plug will fi t into a polar- ized extension cord only one way.
  • Page 6 To reduce the likelihood of disconnec- tion of lawn mower cord from the cord set during operation, use the extension cord retainer supplied with the mower. • Don’t Abuse Cord – Never pull lawn mower by cord or yank it to disconnect from receptacle.
