Replacing the system board

Requirements
– The server has been switched off
– The power cables have been unplugged
– The server has been pulled out of the rack
– The housing cover has been removed
– The memory boards or dummies have been removed (see Operating
Manual)
– The PCI boards have been removed (see Operating Manual)
– The external SCSI interface (if present) has been removed (see Options
Guide)
– The processors have been removed (see Options Guide)
– The VRM modules have been removed (see Options Guide)

Ê Remove the bottom processor cover (see
Figure 19: Removing the counterholder of the PCI board
Ê Remove the counterholder of the PCI board as follows:
– Slide both locking elements (A) to the unlocked position.
