Working with the Cryostat CF-6100 1. Begin by plugging in the cryostat power cord (with any appropriate adaptors and surge protectors) into the wall. 2. Turn the cryostat ON by flipping the blue circuit breaker on the back of the cryostat. The circuit breaker functions as the power switch.

When the button is pressed, the indicator light is on, the machine starts the semiconductor cooling part on the cold stage, cools the module platform, and starts the semiconductor cooling for 15 minutes. This is the decrease button. Press to decrease the thickness section (or trim) thickness. The left side of this panel displays the cumulative slice thickness and slice count. Time Setting Control Panel In addition to the Main Control Panel, the touchscreen on the Precisionary Cryostat CF-6100 also has a Time Setting Control Panel to allow users to set the clock, sleep (standby) durations, and defrost durations. Specific times and days can be set for clock, automatic sleep mode, and automatic defrost mode.
