Wanneer u de CH3B2E via eSATA op uw computer heeft aangesloten, is het mogelijk dat er maar 1 harddisklampje actief is. In dat geval is uw eSATA controller niet geschikt voor meer SATA harddisks op dezelfde aansluiting.

NEDERLANDS 4. Software installeren Voordat u de harddiskconfiguratie van de CH3B2E kunt aanpassen, moet u eerst 'Steelvine Manager' installeren vanaf de meegeleverde cd. Doe de meegeleverde cd in het cd-station van uw computer. Normaal gesproken start de installatie vanzelf. Als het Autorun-menu niet vanzelf verschijnt, opent u 'Deze computer' en dubbelklikt u op het cd-station om het Autorun-menu te starten. -

NEDERLANDS 5. Software gebruiken Nadat u 'Steelvine Manager' heeft geïnstalleerd, kunt u de harddiskconfiguratie van uw CH3B2E bekijken en veranderen. U kunt de 'Steelvine Manager' openen door in het Windows Startmenu de bijbehorende snelkoppeling te kiezen, of door in het systeemvak te dubbelklikken op het pictogram: Wanneer het programma is gestart, ziet u het hoofdmenu met links een overzicht van de aangesloten CH3B2E-eenheid/eenheden en bijbehorende serienummer(s). - Page 7 NEDERLANDS De wizard 'Basic Configuration’ verschijnt op uw scherm. Connect the USB cable to the CH3B2E and to a free USB port on your computer. Note : If the CH3B2E is connected to your computer with both the USB and eSATA cable, the eSATA connection will be disabled and the CH3B2E will operate in USB mode. -

ENGLISH 4. Software installation To change the harddisk configuration of the CH3B2E, you need to install the ‘Steelvine Manager’ from the included CD-ROM. Insert the CD-ROM in your CD-ROM Drive. The Autorun should appear automatically. If the Autorun menu does not appear, navigate to “My Computer” and double-click on the CD-ROM drive to start the Autorun menu. -

When the software is started, the main software window is shown on your desktop and the connected CH3B2E unit(s) will be listed in the left part of the window, indicated with the serial number of the unit. When the unit is selected on the left side, you can see the configuration of the unit on the right side. - Page 17 ENGLISH The ‘Basic Configuration Wizard’ is shown on your screen. Here you can select the configuration for your unit. The following options are available: JBOD : The harddisks inside the unit are configured as single disks. You will have 2 volumes. Schließen Sie das USB-Kabel an der CH3B2E und an einen freien USB-Port Ihres Computers an. Hinweis: Wenn die CH3B2E sowohl mit dem USB- als auch dem eSATA-Kabel an Ihren Computer angeschlossen ist, wird die eSATA-Verbindung deaktiviert und die CH3B2E arbeitet im USB-Modus. • Schalten Sie Ihren Computer ein. -

Installation der Software Um die Festplatten-Konfiguration der CH3B2E ändern zu können, müssen Sie den ‚Steelvine Manager’ von der im Lieferumfang enthaltenen CD-ROM auf Ihrem Computer installieren. Legen Sie die CD-ROM in Ihr CD-ROM-Laufwerk ein. Das Autorun-Menü sollte automatisch starten. - Page 36 Sie können den ‚Steelvine Manager’ öffnen, indem Sie in Ihrem Startmenü auf den Shortcut klicken oder indem Sie in der Kontrollleiste auf das entsprechende Symbol doppelklicken.
