The COM1 and COM2 Function Select jumpers set the communication protocol used by
the first and second serial communications ports (COM 2) as RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485.
JP1 selects the COM1 communications protocol and JP2 sets the COM2 communications
protocol. The COM1 and COM2 Function Select settings are shown in Table 5-5.
