Code

The PIN code prevents the washing
machine being used without your
knowledge.
Selection
Activate
If you activate the PIN code, you
have to enter a PIN code after
switching the washing machine on.
Otherwise it cannot be operated.
The factory default PIN code is 125.
Change
If wished, you can set a different
three-digit PIN code.
Do not forget the code you have
set.
If you forget the code, only Miele
Technical Service can unlock the
washing machine.
Make a note of your new code.
Deactivate
The washing machine is to be
operated again without entering a
PIN code. This only appears if the
PIN code had been activated
previously.

Units

The temperature can be displayed as
degrees °C/Celsius or °F/Fahrenheit.
The factory default is °C/Celsius.

Brightness

You can set the brightness of the
display, the sensor controls and the
dimmed sensor controls.
Selection
Display
Controls the brightness of the
display.
–        (dark)
–        (light) (factory default)
Buttons active
Controls the brightness of the
activated sensor controls.
–        (dark)
–        (factory default)
–        (light)
Buttons inactive
Controls the brightness of the sensor
controls that can be activated.
–        (dark)
–        (factory default)
–        (light)
Tip: Ensure that there is a discernible
difference in brightness between the
activated and dimmed sensor controls.
A big difference in brightness makes it
easier to operate the appliance.
