Checking Application List

The page of Application List is designed to show resources arranged according to
applications. The page gives you a good idea of how much of the device's memory is being
used by the applications (both in absolute and relative terms) as well as how much memory
still remains. Check this page before adding an application.
The information is collected from the manifest (headers) - in other words, the size of a
resource represents the size as it is declared by the application in question, not necessarily
the size of resources actually used by the application. The items of information include the
following:
• hard disk
• memory
• thread
• socket
• file descriptor
You will not be able to install an application if the size of the remaining memory falls short
of the size declared by the application. Moreover, the specifications have been designed so
that an application will not be able to start up if there is a shortage of memory for any of the
foregoing items (i.e., memory, thread, socket, file descriptor). To find out if there is enough
memory, go through the following steps:
1) Log in to SMS.
2) Click Application List tab.
