The gas line connection can be made with properly tinned 3/8" copper tubing, 3/8" rigid pipe or an approved flex connector. DVHVAC36 Certified to ANSI Z21.88-2005 / CSA 2.33-2005 Vented Gas Fireplace Heaters Do not use this fireplace if any part of it has been under water.

It is always best to locate the fireplace in such a way that minimizes the number of offsets and horizontal vent length. The horizontal vent run refers to the total length of vent pipe from the flue collar of the fireplace to the face of the outer wall.

• • IMPORTANT Minimum clearance between vent pipes and combustible materials is 1" (25mm) on bot- tom, sides and top. A vent starter kit plus a transition elbow must be used in Vertical Sidewall Installa- tions. The 4" pipe must be centered inside the 7"...
STEP 4 Measure the horizontal length requirement including a 2" (51 mm) overlap, i.e. from the elbow to the outside wall finish plus 2", or the distance required if installing a second 90° elbow. (Fig. 25) Always install horizontal vent- ing on a level plane.
1. Establish vent hole through the wall. (Fig. 22) 2. Remove soil to a depth of approximately 16" (406 mm) below base of snorkel. Install window well (not sup- plied). Refill hole with 12" (305 mm) of coarse gravel leaving a clearance of approximately 4" (102 mm) below snorkel.
