LAN Screen

This screen contains information and settings related to the local LAN. Note that for the
MiFi 2200, the local LAN is the same as the WLAN (Wi-Fi network), because there are no

following fields
are available.
LAN IP Address - The IP address for this client, as seen from the local network.
Normally, you can use the default value.
Subnet Mask - The default value 255.255.255.0 is sta
networks. If you change the LAN IP Address, ensure you use the correct Subnet Mask
for the IP address range containing the LAN IP address.
MAC Address - The MAC Address is a low-level network identifier. Every network
interface must have a MAC address. This read-only field displays the MAC Address for
the WLAN interface. Unlike the IP address, the MAC Address does not change when you
connect to a different network.
DHCP Address Range – The DHCP Server allocates IP addresses to clients. This field
indicates the ranges of IP addresses which are reserved for use by the DHCP Server. If
you have any clients which use a fixed IP address, that fixed IP address should be
outside the DHCP Address Range.
LAN Devices - This table lists all known clients on the local LAN. For each client, the
following data is provided.
IP Address - The IP address of the client.

IP Type – This indicates "DHCP" if the IP address was allocated by the DHCP

Server in this MiFi 2200. If "ARP" is displayed, then the client was discovered
using the ARP protocol.
Hostname - If known, the name of the LAN client. This information is not

MAC Address - The MAC Address is a low-level network identifier. This field

Date/Time - The Date/Time when the client was detected.
