1. General Description
1.1. Overview
The N8104-128 10GBASE Adapter (SFP+/2ch) is an Ethernet® LAN Adapter for Express server 5800 series.
This product has 2 SFP slot interfaces. And you can connect N8104-129 SFP+ Module (10G-SR) (Option) or DA
(Direct Attach) cable.
The SFP+ Module is based on 10GBASE-SR (IEEE802.3ae), so you can access to the Ethernet® through an
optical fiber.

It is for this slot connecting a SFP+ module or Direct Attach cable.
N8104-129 SFP+ module (10 G-SR) (option) is supported as Optical interface.
Since the slot cover for protection against dust is attached, please remove and use it.
Secure the removed slot cover carefully.
Do not remove a slot cover, when you do not use this slot.

Bracket
The bracket of two sizes is enclosed with this product. A bracket can be exchanged according to the form of
a PCI-Express® slot of the server.

PCI-Express® Connector
This product can be attached to the slot x8 lane or higher (PCI-Express® Gen.2) .
Refer to User's Guide of the Server.

Fan
Cooling fan.

Do not attach this product to a computer that is not recommended by NEC
Corporation.

This product requires N8104-129 SFP+ module (10G-SR) as Optical
interface.
Check the PCI-Express® slot which can be attached with reference to User's
Guide of Express Server before attaching this product.
