    INTRODUCTION Models VDDVF36PN/PP series are three-sided direct-vent gas fireplace with a sealed combus- tion chamber. Models VDDVF36STN/STP series are two-sided direct-vent gas fireplace with a sealed combustion chamber. All models use a millivolt gas control and a millivolt igni- tion system. All models have a manual HI/LO valve to control the flame height.

  • Page 15 VENTING INSTALLATION Continued HIGH ALTITUDE INSTALLATION Your Vanguard direct-vent fireplace has been AGA tested and approved for eleva- tions from 0-2000 feet and CGA certified for elevations from 0-4500 feet. When installing this fireplace at an elevation above 2000 feet (in the USA), you may need to decrease the input rating by changing the existing burner orifice to a smaller size.

    DIRECT-VENT GAS FIREPLACE ® VDDVF36PN/PP and VDDVF36STN/STP Series INSTALLATION WALL SWITCH INSTALLATION Since the VDDVF36 series models use a valve that operates on millivolt current gen- erated by the pilot, a wall switch (not in- cluded) may be used to activate the gas control valve without the use of normal household electricity.
