Your UBC57XLT Scanner comes with a
flexible antenna and the owner's guide.
Batteries are required to operate (not
included). An optional earphone may also
be used.

What is Scanning?
Programmable Hand-HeldScanner
The
scans programmed
UBC57XLT
channels until it finds an active frequency.
Introduction
Scanning stops on an active frequency and
remains on that channel as long as the
transmission continues. When the
transmission ends, the scanning cycle
resumes until another transmission is

What is Chain Searching?
Scanner
You can program five different search
bands. Simply select a chain search
location, define the search range, and
begin your search. You can set your
scanner to search up to all five chain
search bands at once, or you can turn off
those search bands you don't want.
General Use
! Turn the scanner off before replacing the
batteries.
Uniden does not represent this
unit to be waterproof. To reduce

Locking a Channel While Scanning
If the scanner keeps stopping on a
particular channel due to noise or too
You can lockout any channel so it is not
frequent transmissions, you may want to
reviewed during normal scanning. You can
keep that channel from scanning.
