Parallel Interface Connector ”TO PC” Astra 2000P Backpanel There are two parallel ports on the Astra 2000P scanner. This allows your printer and your scanner to communicate with your computer using the parallel connector. The first parallel port is used to connect the scanner to your computer.
With this new USB “plug-and-play” technology, your computer automatically configures any recently attached peripherals (such as a mouse or a scanner) as soon as you reboot the computer. UMAX Astra 2000U/P Owner’s Guide...
If your computer has a USB port, you must make sure that this port is enabled in the system BIOS. Please refer to the troubleshooting section to learn more about enabling the USB port. Parallel Port Connectors Another common communication interface is the parallel port. The parallel port interface is the standard method for connecting a printer to a PC computer.
