ID61/62 Series Panel - Operating Manual
VIEW
TM
sensors remain
inoperable for 60 seconds
after being replaced
while calibrating.
Appendix 3
VIEW™ & SMART 4 Sensors
The ID61/62 panels support Very Intelligent Early Warning
(VIEW
TM
) sensors and SMART 4 multi-criteria sensors.
This appendix describes differences to the user
operations for these devices.
Each VIEW
sensor has to be calibrated on first
TM
operation with the panel. If a VIEW
and cleaned, or replaced with a new one, wait at least
30 secs after removal before replacing it.
Calibration is carried out automatically for each sensor
approximately 60 secs after the sensor is installed on a
panel which is already operating normally.
During this initial period (which is required to allow the
VIEW
TM
sensor to stabilise) the sensor must not be
exposed to smoke or any other abnormal conditions,
otherwise the panel may report a sensor fault.
SMART 4 Sensor
No user procedures are required with this sensor.
However, a new advisory message is logged whenever
a SMART 4 device approaches the end of the useful life
of the CO sensor element (approximately 6 months before
the sensor needs a complete replacement). A new print
option is available with the ID61/62 that allows printing of
the maintenance log. It is still possible to print the
maintenance log even if it contains no entries. The print
out will confirm that the maintenance log is empty.
Service Due Indication
If configured, the advisory message 'Status: SYSTEM
SERVICE DUE' will replace the 'Status Normal' screen
when the service due date has been reached. Contact
the authorised servicing company.
This service due message can only be reset or disabled
by the authorised servicing company.
