Problem
Fryer does not work
Oil overflowing
Unpleasant Odour/Oil smokes
Poor frying performance
Possible Cause
Fryer not plugged in
Control unit not fitted correctly
No oil or too little oil in fryer causing
safety thermostat to operate.
Fryer in OFF position.
Maximum oil level exceeded
Basket overloaded/Maximum chip
capacity exceeded
Wet food placed in oil
The oil is old and has deteriorated
Incorrect oil used/different oils

Solution
Check fryer is plugged in
Fit unit correctly – ensuring it sits down
as far as it will go.
Unplug the fryer and allow to cool down.
Operate the reset button
front of the control unit.
Check on/off switch is in the ON position.
Check oil level
Refer to frying chart for recommended
quantities.
Drain and dry food thoroughly.
Replace with fresh oil.
Use a good quality oil suitable for
deep frying.

Reduce the quantity fried.
