Description
Battery (6 cell, 72 WHr, 3.16 AHr, Li-ion; includes cable)
Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the battery:
1. Disconnect the battery cable (1) from the system board.
2. Release the front speaker cables from the retention clips (2) built into the battery.
3. Release the tape (3) that secures the speaker cable to the battery.
4. Remove the six Phillips M2.0×3.5 screws (4) that secure the battery to the top cover.
5. Remove the battery (5).
Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
