OPERATION

Using the blender

CAUTION: Do not use the blender to blend hard ingredients
such as coffee beans, ice cubes, mixtures containing fruit
stones cereals and chocolate in lumps as these may damage
the blades.
NOTE: The maximum operating time when using the blender
stem is one minute. If you exceed this time you must rest the unit
for three minutes.
Prepare the food you want to blend. Fruit and vegetables
should be peeled and cored, then diced into small cubes.
Fruits and vegetables that are dry and hard may be difficult
to blend. If that is so, process in small batches and add some
liquid to aid the blending.
Add the food pieces into the jug. Ensure that the quantities
in your recipe will not exceed the capacity of the jug once
blended.
If your recipe requires water, add purified water to the jug at
this stage. The proportion of food to water is normally 2:3.
Fit the blender stem to the motor body.
Connect the power cable to a mains outlet.
Stand the jug on the rubber pad.
Steady the jug with one hand and hold the motor body with
the other. Immerse the head of the blender in the food in the
jug.
Press the 'I' or 'II' button to switch the motor on at low or
high speed.
Always choose the 'I' (low speed) position first if you are not
sure which speed to use.
Move the blender head around a little in the jug to ensure all
the food is blended.
Release the speed button to switch off the motor before
removing it from the mixture.
Removing the blender from the mixture while it is running is
dangerous and will spray the mixture from the moving blades.
