Maintenance instruction for EX-battery SR 501 EX
For the longest battery lifetime SR 501 EX should have regular charging and discharging
cycles. Best results are achieved with full discharge directly followed with a full charge.
Charge The Battery in accordance with paragraph 2, below.
When the battery is not used for a long time, the following should be considered:
The battery contains a protection circuit that consume power from the battery.
This allows the battery to be deeply discharged if stored for a long time, which can cause
damage to cells.
Prolonged maintenance charge is also not recommended as this can also be harmful to the
cells. Instead, we recommend a scheduled charge under paragraph 3.

1 Removing the battery

Place the fan unit upside down. Grip the
fan unit with one hand with the thumb
placed over the battery.
Raise the battery cover a few centimetres
and push with the thumb and withdraw the
battery.

2 Charging the battery

2.1 Connect the charger cable to the
battery
Connect the battery to the battery charger.
Make sure that the pin on the cord's plug
is fitted into the groove on the battery.

2.2 Fully charge the battery

Connect the charger plug to a wall socket.
Charge the battery to full capacity at room
temperature, about 2 hours.
Green LED lights up when fully charged
battery.
