Remove the Throttle Shaft nut and lock washer from the throttle shaft. Install the Throttle -
Lever Bracket on the throttle shaft; Reinstall the lock washer and nut, and torque the nut
to 60-72 In/Lbs (5-6) Ft./Lbs).

Loosen the accelerator cable jam nut. Loosen only the rear jam nut as shown in Fig ( 4 & 5 }.
Install the Cable Bracket between the accelerator bracket and the jam nut
previously loosened. Retighten jam nut ensuring that Cable Bracket is held securely in place.

Remove the Adjustable Sleeve from the Cruise Control Module Cable and discard.

Remove the Snap-In Adapter from the Cruise Control Kit. To use that Snap-In Adapter, it
will be necessary to form threads on the end of the Cruise Control Module Cable. This is
accomplished by placing the 114" -20 Nut and Washer Assembly on the end of the Cruise
Control Module Cable with your fingers, then use a 7/16" box end wrench and turn clockwise,
until the desired amount of threads have been formed, then remove the 114" -20 Nut and
Washer Assembly. .

After the threads have been formed, thread the Snap-In Adapter onto the Cruise qable, and
snap into the Cable Bracket as shown in ( Figure 4&5 ).

USING 250-1222,250-1315, 250-1223,OR 250-1316 ( DO NOT USE THE BEAD CHAIN ).
Ensure that approximately (6.6") of the Th~eaded Cruise Control Module cable

is exposed past the Snap-In Adapter before installing the Eyelet Connector.Fig (;:1 )
Con~ect the Eyelet Connector to th~ cr;yise Control Module ?able and install the( Bead
Chain Connector Cover) as showA--h'rflgure ( 4 ). Install plain Washer on the throttle
lever Bracket and secure the cruise cable with the eyelet connector on the throttle lev
bracket with self locking pin. Fig ( 4 )
B USING 250-1075,250-1076,250-1105 OR 250-1176 KITS ( USE THE BEAD CHAIN ).
Ensure that approximately (5.1") of the Threaded Cruise Control Module cable
is exposed past the Snap-In Adapter before installing the Eyelet Connector. Fig ( 2 )
Connect the Eyelet Connector to the Bead Chain with the (Bead Chain Connector
Cover) in place and connect to the cruise control cable using Bead Chain Connector with
the (Bead Chain Connector Cover) in place. Install Eyelet Connector with Bead Chain,
plain Washer, on the throttle lever Bracket and secure with self locking pin. Fig (5 )
