Safety instructions

Protection against incorrect use of the field device
Only use the field device within the voltage limits specified on the nameplate.
Damage to the membrane keyboard
Make sure that the membrane keyboard is not damaged during installation of the device.
Wetted parts unsuitable for the process medium
Danger of injury or damage to device.
Hot, toxic and corrosive media could be released if the process medium is unsuitable for the
wetted parts.
● Ensure that the material of the device parts wetted by the process medium is suitable for
Violation of the maximum permissible operating pressure
Danger of injury or poisoning.
The maximum permissible operating pressure depends on the device version. The device
can be damaged if the maximum permissible operating pressure is exceeded. Hot, toxic and
corrosive process media can be released.
Make sure that the device is suitable for the maximum permissible operating pressure of your
system. Refer to the information on the nameplate and/or in Chapter →Technical
specifications (Page 87).
Exceeding the maximum ambient and process medium temperature
Danger of explosion in hazardous areas.
Device damage.
Make sure that the maximum permissible ambient and process medium temperature of the
device is not exceeded. Refer to the information in Chapter → Technical specifications
(Page 87).
