SINUMERIK operator panel fronts can be connected to the PCU either cen-
trally, i.e. directly via LVDS or USB interfaces, or decentrally with TCU (Thin
Client Unit) via Ethernet.
In the following section, the OP 012 operator front is described as an example in
detail.
