SINUMERIK 840Di sl Manual (HBIsl) – 01/2007 Edition
The Service Desktop is intended for machine manufacturer/service personnel.
Numerous SINUMERIK–specific applications are available on the Service
Desktop in addition to the standard Windows functions.
Proceed as follows to enable the Service Desktop:
1. As soon as (1) is displayed under the version number on the bottom right of
the start–up screen, press "3".

2. Enter a password for protection levels 0 – 2:
Security class
0 Reserved
1 SUNRISE (default)
2 EVENING (default)
3. Click the "Service Desktop" button in the displayed selection menu or press
the "Return" key.
The following SINUMERIK–specific applications are available on the Service
Desktop:

Ghost Explorer
The Ghost Explorer is used to display the content of Ghost images.
