Configuring
The following engineering or configuration tools are available to enable you to configure the
communications processor:
● STEP 7 V5.5
● STEP 7 Professional (TIA Portal)
● Communication settings (COML S7)
The further procedure is described in the "Commissioning PC Stations" manual or in the
relevant online help files.
Note
The module is recognized by the "SIMATIC NET PC Software" as a CP 5613 A2. This
response ensures compatibility with existing applications.
Note
For the "DPC2_data_transport()" functionality of the DPC2 protocol the slot and index are
fixed at 0 for the CP 5603 as DP master and as DP slave.
