Notes
The multi-room configuration file, also enclosed on the CD, has a slightly deviated structure:
• Devices that belong to the same room or are shared by different rooms are grouped between
hidden devices with the [---------------------] in the tree view.
• Activity Macros for the different rooms are placed in separate pages under the hidden
device Macros.
The basic configuration file does not contain separate codes pages, macro pages or pages
for the receiver and the display. Instead:
• the codes are assigned to the buttons on the layout page.
• the macros are assigned to the buttons on the Home Page.
• the codes of the receiver and the display are added to each action list where they are
required. For example, the code to switch the display on is added to the different macros on
the Home Page.
Tip
Before customizing the default configuration file, copy the file and give it a specific name e.g.
Williams Home Theater.xcf.
Make sure you have the model numbers of the A/V equipment you want to control with the
Control Panel at hand.
