You can specify layout adjustment settings from the Layout Adjustment tab.
1. From the Services Home screen, select a scan method.
2. Select the Layout Adjustment tab.
3. Select the applicable option:
• Original Orientation
• Original Size
• Edge Erase
• Book Scanning
• Reduce/Enlarge

Ensure that the document orientation is set to indicate the top of the document.
1. On the Layout Adjustment tab, touch Original Orientation.
2. Select the orientation for the document that is loaded.
3. Touch Save.
Note: If the Original Orientation setting differs from the physical document orientation,
the Xerox device can mistakenly detect the wrong side as the top of the document.

When you scan standard-sized and custom-sized documents or when you make copies at a size that is
different than the currently loaded document, you can specify the size of the document.
1. On the Layout Adjustment tab, touch Original Size.
2. Select an option:
• Auto Detect: The device detects the original document size.
• Manual Size Input: Select a size from a pre-defined list or specify a custom page size.
• Mixed Size Originals: The device detects the size automatically for each page of the original
document.
3. Touch Save.
Note: If the Xerox device cannot detect the document size, a screen appears where you
can enter the document size.
