Top Tray
The top tray has the following capabilities:
• Receives printed output and sample sheets
• Capacity of 500 sheets measuring 330 x 488 mm (13 x 19.2 in.)
• Collects all sheets that are automatically ejected before and after a jam
• Receives all media types and sizes produced by the system
If output sheets are not ejected completely, the printer detects a Paper Full condition. If this
condition is detected frequently, change the angle of the top tray.
To change the top tray angle, refer to the following guidelines:
• For normal usage, keep the tray in the lower, default position.
Important: Continual usage of the tray in the upper position can cause paper jams or
output sheets to fall from the tray upon delivery.
• When using the following paper types, change the angle of the tray to the upper position. The
following paper types can cause frequent Paper Full conditions:
– Lightweight, 106 g/m
– Coated paper whose edges are 364 mm (14.3 in.) or longer
– Long paper
Note: If sheets are curled, changing the tray angle has no effect.
