From the “DivX(R) VOD” option of the “Settings” menu you can see the registration code of your device. This is a unique 8-digit code, assigned to each DivX certified device (like your Philips Multimedia Hard Disk).

Option 1 - Soft Recovery Connect your Multimedia Hard Disk to your PC Switch the Multimedia Hard Disk on Go to ‘My Computer Right-Click on the Philips Multimedia Player icon Select Explore Check if the preconfigured folders are available (‘Firmware’, ‘Movies’, ‘Music’, ‘Pictures’) Create or rename the folders if necessary Switch the Multimedia Hard Disk off.

Once the movies are stored on the Philips Multimedia Hard Disk as .ISO files, you can play them just like an original DVD with full DVD functions: Menu, Chapter selection, Audio stream selection, Subtitle selection, Fast Forward, Fast Backwards, Slow, Pause, Step Forward, Repeat, and Search are all included.
An 8-character DivX VOD registration code ( “Activation ID”) is needed for this, which can be retrieved from the Philips Multimedia Hard Disk. Select the 'DivX® VOD' option from the 'Settings' menu and press OK to see the registration code of your device.
