(2) Connector
Removable connectors are used to connect communication cables to nodes and to
branch taps. There are two types of connectors: open and closed. The open-type
connectors, particularly plug-type screw connectors, are recommended to connect
cables to the D.Station modules and T-branch taps.
The plug-type screw connector enables removal of a node without parting the network.
The external view and pin-out of an open-type connector is shown below.

Always use PG terminals to connect wires of the communication cable to the
plug-type screw connector. If PG terminals is not used, the cable may
disconnect or fall out.
Provide enough length of cables to connect devices not to apply tensile force
upon the connectors. Failure to observe this precaution may result in
disconnection or fall out of the cables during communication.
The type of connector is not specified to open type for connecting nodes other
than D.Station. Connect the cables according to attached user's manual that
comes with the node.
Connect the signal wires, power wires, and the drain correctly to the
appropriate connectors. Note that the power wires of the thick cable require
different PG terminals than the other wires of the same cable.
