Important
Do not use the appliance if the plug, the cord or the appliance itself is
damaged.
Before you connect the appliance, check whether the mains voltage
indicated on the appliance corresponds with the mains voltage in your
home.
Preparing the appliance for use

Clean the jug and filterholder (see section 'Cleaning').
2
Place the appliance on a stable surface.
Do not put the appliance on a hot surface
Keep the appliance out of the reach of children and make sure that they are
unable to pull at the cord.

Put the plug in an earthed wall socket.
You can store excess cord at the back of the appliance (fig. 1).
Prevent the cord from coming into contact with hot surfaces.

Open the lid (fig. 2).

Fill the watertank to the MAX-indication with cold, fresh water and
put the jug in place (fig.3).
Do not put a filter and coffee in the basket.

Switch the appliance on by pressing the button (fig. 4).
The pilot light goes on.

Let the appliance run until the watertank is completely empty.

After all water is in the jug: switch off the appliance.
Let the appliance cool down for at least 3 minutes before you start brewing
coffee.
Brewing coffee

Open the lid.

Fill the watertank with the desired amount of cold, fresh water (fig 5).
The water level in the water tank can be read from the winddow; the
markings correspond to large cups (125 ml). Ensure that the water level does
not get higher than the maximum marking (MAX).

Close the lid.

Place the jug.

Open the filter holder (fig. 6).

Put a paper filter (type 1x2) in the filter holder.
Do not forget to fold the sealed edges of the filter.

Put pre-ground coffee (filter-fine grind) in the filter (fig. 7).
For large cups: use one full measuring spoon for each cup.
For small cups: use one level measuring spoon for each cup.

Close the lid.

Switch the appliance on by pressing the button.
The pilot light will go on.

Switch the appliance off after use.
Let the appliance cool down for at least 3 minutes before you start brewing
coffee again.
Cleaning

Unplug the appliance.

Clean the outside of the appliance with a moist cloth.
Never immerse the appliance in water.

Clean the jug and the removable filterholder in hot soapy water or in
the dishwasher (fig. 8).
Descaling
Descale the appliance regularly. In case of normal use:
- 2 or 3 times a year if your using soft water (less than 18cDH);
- 4 or 5 times a year if you are using hard water (more than 18cDH).
Turn to your local water board for information about the water hardness in
your area.

Use an appropriate descaler or fill the water tank with white vinegar.
Do not put a filter and coffee in the filter holder.

Let the appliance complete two runs.
See 'Brewing coffee'. Let the appliance cool down before you start the
second run.

Let the appliance complete two more runs with fresh, cold water to
remove any vinegar and scale residues.

Clean the separate parts.
Replacement
Cord
If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged, it must only be replaced by a
cord of the original type.Turn to your Philips dealer or to the Philips
organisation in your country for replacement.
Jug
You can order a new jug under type number HD7970. Please check with
your local Philips dealer or Philips Service Centre.

Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn der Netzstecker, das Netzkabel

Vorbereitung zum Gebrauch

Reinigen Sie die Kanne und den Filterhalter.Vgl. den Abschnitt
"Reinigen".

Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine feste, ebene Fläche.
Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht auf eine heiße Fläche.
Halten Sie Kinder von dem Gerät fern, und achten Sie darauf, daß sie das
Gerät nicht am Netzkabel hinabziehen können.

Stecken Sie den Stecker in eine Schuko-Steckdose.
Überschüssiges Netzkabel können Sie an der Unterseite des Geräts
unterbringen (Abb. 1).
Achten Sie darauf, daß das Netzkabel nicht mit heißen Flächen in Berührung
kommt.

Öffnen Sie den Deckel (Abb. 2).

Füllen Sie den Wasserbehälter bis zur Markierung MAX mit frischem,
kaltem Wasser, und stellen Sie die Kanne an ihren Platz (Abb. 3).
Setzen Sie keinen Filter in den Filterhalter, und geben Sie auch keinen Kaffee
hinein.

Schalten Sie das Gerät am Ein-/Ausschalter ein (Abb. 4).
Die Kontroll-Lampe leuchtet auf.

Lassen Sie alles Wasser in die Kanne laufen.

Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, wenn der Wasserbehälter leer ist.
Lassen Sie das Gerät ca. 3 Minuten abkühlen, bevor Sie mit der Zubereitung
von Kaffee beginnen.
Kaffee zubereiten

Öffnen Sie den Deckel.

Füllen Sie den Wasserbehälter mit der erforderlichen Menge frischem,
kaltem Wasser (Abb. 5).
An der Füllstandsanzeige können Sie kontrollieren, wie viel Wasser im
Wasserbehälter ist. Die Markierungen entsprechen der Anzahl großer Tassen
(125 ml). Achten Sie darauf, dass die oberste Markierung "MAX" nicht
überschritten wird.

Schließen Sie den Deckel.

Setzen Sie die Kanne in das Gerät.

Schwenken Sie den Filterhalter heraus (Abb. 6).

Setzen Sie eine Papierfiltertüte (Type 1x2) in den Filterhalter ein.
Vergessen Sie nicht, die Ränder der Filtertüte zu falten.

Geben Sie filterfein gemahlenes Kaffeemehl in den Filter (Abb. 7).
Für große Tassen: einen gehäuften Meßlöffel pro Tasse.
Für kleine Tassen: einen gestrichenen Meßlöffel pro Tasse.

Schließen Sie den Deckel.

Schalten Sie das Gerät am Ein-/Ausschalter ein.
Die Kontroll-Lampe leuchtet auf.

Schalten Sie das Gerät nach Gebrauch aus.
Lassen Sie das Gerät ca. 3 Minuten abkühlen, bevor Sie erneut mit der
Zubereitung von Kaffee beginnen.
Reinigung

Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

Reinigen Sie die Außenwände des Geräts mit einem feuchten Tuch, auf
das Sie bei Bedarf ein wenig Spülmittel auftragen können.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser!

Reinigen Sie die Kanne und den abnehmbaren Filterhalter in heißem
Wasser, dem Sie etwas Spülmittel zufügen können, oder im
Geschirrspüler (Abb. 8).
Entkalken
Entkalken Sie das Gerät regelmäßig. Bei normalem Gebrauch:
- bei Härtegrad 1 oder 2 zwei- oder dreimal jährlich,
- bei Härtegrad 3 oder 4 vier- bis fünfmal jährlich oder häufiger.
Das örtliche Wasserwerk gibt Ihnen Auskunft über die Härte des von Ihnen
verwendeten Wassers.

Verwenden Sie zum Entkalken ausschließlich einen handelsüblichen
Entkalker.

Geben Sie keinen Filter und keinen Kaffee in den Filterhalter.
Betreiben Sie das Gerät zweimal ohne Filter und Kaffee.Vgl. den Abschnitt
"Kaffeee zubereiten". Lassen Sie das Gerät vor dem zweiten Durchlauf erst ca.
3 Minuten abkühlen

Betreiben Sie dann das Gerät noch zweimal mit frischem, kaltem
Wasser, um Rückstände von Kalk und Entkalkungsmittel zu beseitigen.
4
Reinigen Sie danach alle abnehmbaren Teile.
Ersatz- und Zusatzteile
Netzkabel
Wenn das Netzkabel defekt oder beschädigt ist, muß es durch ein original
Philips Netzkabel ersetzt werden.Wenden Sie sich an Ihren Philips Händler
oder an das Philips Service Center in Ihrem Lande.
Kaffeekanne
Eine neue Kanne ist Sie unter der Type HD 7970 erhältlich. Fragen Sie Ihren
örtlichen Philips Händler oder bestellen Sie sie über das Philips Service Ceter.
Garantie und Service
Wenden Sie sich gegebenenfalls mit Ihren Fragen oder Problemen an das
Philips Service Center in Ihrem Lande. Befindet sich in Ihrem Land kein
Service Center, so wenden Sie sich an Ihren Philips Händler oder an das
Service Department von Philips Domestic Appliances and Personal Care BV.

Important
N'utilisez jamais l'appareil si la fiche ou le cordon d'alimentation est
endommagé.
Avant de brancher l'appareil, vérifiez que la tension indiquée sur celui-ci
correspond à celle du secteur de votre habitation.
Avant la première utilisation

Nettoyez la verseuse , ainsi que le porte-filtre (voir paragraphe
"Nettoyage").

Placez l'appareil sur une surface stable.
Ne posez jamais l'appareil sur une surface chaude.
Veillez à ce que l'appareil soit hors de portée des enfants. Empêchez-les de
tirer sur le cordon.

Branchez toujours la fiche d'alimentation sur une prise équipée de
terre.
Vous pouvez ajuster la longueur du cordon en le rangeant à l'arrière de
l'appareil (fig. 1).
Veillez à ce que le cordon d'alimentation ne soit pas en contact avec des
surfaces chaudes.

Levez le couvercle (fig. 2).

Remplissez le réservoir jusqu'au Max avec de l'eau fraîche et mettez
la verseuse en place (fig. 3).
Ne mettez pas de filtre, ni de café pour cette première opération.

Mettez l'appareil en marche à l'aide de l'interrupteur (fig. 4).
Le témoin lumineux s'allume.

Laissez l'eau s'écouler jusqu'à ce que le réservoir soit vide.

Lorsque toute l'eau a fini de s'écouler, arrêtez l'appareil.
Attendez au moins 3 minutes, que l'appareil refroidisse, avant de faire du café.
Pour faire du café

Levez le couvercle.
2
Remplissez le réservoir avec la quantité d'eau froide désirée (fig 5).
Vous pouvez vérifier le niveau d'eau du réservoir par la fenêtre, les indications
de niveau correspondent à de grandes tasses (125ml). Assurez-vous que le
niveau d'eau ne dépasse pas l'indication maximum (MAX).

Fermez le couvercle.

Mettez la verseuse à sa place.
5
Ouvrez le porte-filtre (fig. 6).

Placez-y un filtre papier (type 1x2).
Rabattez les bords du filtre si nécessaire.

Mettez le café moulu dans le filtre (fig. 7).
Utilisez une dose pleine pour chaque grande tasse.
Utilisez une dose rase pour chaque petite tasse.

Fermez le couvercle.
9
Mettez en marche à l'aide de l'interrupteur.
Le témoin lumineux s'allume.

Arrêtez la cafetière après utilisation.
Laissez l'appareil refroidir au moins 3 minutes, avant de faire du café à
nouveau.
Nettoyage

Débranchez l'appareil.
2
Nettoyez l'extérieur de la cafetière à l'aide d'un chiffon humide.
Ne jamais plonger l'appareil dans l'eau.

Nettoyez la verseuse ainsi que le porte-filtre avec de l'eau savonneuse
ou au lave-vaisselle (fig. 8).
Détartrage
Détartrez votre cafetière régulièrement. Pour une utilisation normale :
- 2 ou 3 fois par an si votre eau n'est pas trop calcaire (inférieure à 18°TH);
- 4 ou 5 fois par an si votre eau est dure (supérieure à 18°TH).
Renseignez-vous auprès de votre distributeur local.

Utilisez un détartrant alimentaire ou du vinaigre blanc.

Effectuez cette opération deux fois de suite.
Laissez l'appareil refroidir avant la deuxième opération (voir "Pour faire du
cafè").

Faites fonctionner à nouveau la cafetière deux fois avec de l'eau froide
afin d'éliminer les particules de calcaire et le vinaigre restant.

Nettoyez les parties amovibles.
Remplacement
Cordon d'alimentation
Si le cordon d'alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par un
cordon d'origine. Adressez-vous à votre revendeur ou à un Centre Service
Agréé Philips.
Verseuse
Vous pouvez vous procurer une verseuse de remplacement de type HD
7970 auprès de votre revendeur ou Centre Service Agréé Philips.

Belangrijk
Gebruik het apparaat niet als de stekker, het snoer of het apparaat zelf
beschadigd is.
Controleer, voordat u het apparaat aansluit, of het op het apparaat
vermelde voltage overeenkomt met de netspanning in uw woning.
Klaarmaken voor gebruik

Maak de kan en filterhouder schoon (zie hoofdstuk 'Schoonmaken').

Plaats het apparaat op een vlakke ondergrond.
Plaats het apparaat nooit op een hete ondergrond.
Houd het apparaat buiten bereik van kinderen en let erop dat zij niet aan het
snoer kunnen trekken.

Stop de stekker in een geaard stopcontact.
Overtollig snoer kunt u aan de achterzijde van het apparaat opbergen
(fig. 1).
Voorkom dat het snoer in aanraking komt met hete oppervlakken.

Open het deksel (fig. 2).

Vul het waterreservoir met koud, vers water tot de MAX-aanduiding
en zet de kan op zijn plaats (fig.3).
Plaats geen filter met koffie in de filterhouder.

Schakel het apparaat in door op de aan/uitknop te drukken (fig. 4).
Het indicatielampje gaat aan.

Laat het apparaat werken totdat het waterreservoir helemaal leeg is.

Als al het water in de koffiekan zit: schakel het apparaat uit.
Laat het apparaat tenminste 3 minuten afkoelen voordat u koffie gaat zetten.
Koffiezetten

Open het deksel.

Vul het waterreservoir met de gewenste hoeveelheid koud, vers
water (fig 5).
Het waterniveau van het waterreservoir kunt u aflezen op het raampje; de
aanduidingen gelden voor grote koppen (125 ml). Zorg ervoor dat u het
reservoir niet verder vult dan de MAX-aanduiding.

Sluit het deksel.

Plaats de koffiekan in het apparaat.

Open de filterhouder (fig. 6).

Plaats een papieren filterzakje (type 1x2) in de filterhouder.
Vergeet niet de plakranden van het filterzakje om te vouwen.

Doe gemalen koffie (snelfiltermaling) in het filter (fig. 7).
Voor grote koppen: gebruik een volle maatlepel per kop.
Voor kleine koppen: gebruik een afgestreken maatlepel per kop.

Sluit het deksel.

Schakel het apparaat in door op de aan/uitknop te drukken.
Het indicatielampje gaat aan.

Zet het apparaat na gebruik uit.
Laat het apparaat ten minste 3 minuten afkoelen voordat u opnieuw koffie
gaat zetten.
Schoonmaken

Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact.

Maak de buitenkant van het apparaat schoon met een vochtige doek.
Dompel het apparaat nooit in water.
3
Maak de kan en de afneembare filterhouder schoon in heet water
met een beetje afwasmiddel of in de afwasmachine (fig. 8).
Ontkalken
Ontkalk het apparaat regelmatig. Bij normaal gebruik:
- 2 of 3 keer per jaar als u zacht water gebruikt (minder dan 18cDH);
- 4 of 5 keer per jaar als u hard water gebruikt (meer dan 18cDH).
Vraag uw waterleidingbedrijf naar informatie over de waterhardheid in uw
woongebied.

Gebruik ontkalkingsmiddel of vul het waterreservoir met witte azijn.

om azijn en kalkresten te verwijderen.

Vervanging
Snoer

originele type te worden vervangen.Wendt u zich daartoe tot uw Philips

Kan
U kunt een nieuwe kan voor uw koffiezetter bestellen bij uw plaatselijke
Philips dealer of Philips Servicecentrum onder typenummer HD7970.
