I bought the HF 3301 Bright Light about 25 years ago. It has spent many years stored carefully in the loft and recently I wanted to use it again. The light comes on but after about 30 seconds it cuts out again. How can I fix this please?

If the Philips HF3301/01 Bright Light turns off after 30 seconds, try the following steps:
1. Check the Power Connection: Ensure the voltage matches the local mains voltage as indicated on the appliance. 2. Inspect the Fluorescent Tubes: If the light has been used for around 10,000 hours, replace the tubes with Philips Original Bright Light PL-L 55W. 3. Examine the Cord: If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Philips or an authorized service center. 4. Avoid Damp Environments: Ensure the device is not used in humid conditions, such as a bathroom or near a pool. 5. Consult a Technician: If the issue persists, seek help from an authorized Philips repair service.
Always unplug the device before inspecting or replacing parts.
