Important
• Prevent the appliance and the cord from getting wet.
• Only use the cord supplied.
Connecting the appliance
- Put the appliance plug into the shaver up to the indication mark
(fig. 1).
- Put the mains plug into the socket.
The appliance can be connected to mains voltages between 100 and
240 volts.
Shaving
- Switch the appliance on by pushing the slide upwards.
- Move the shaving heads quickly over the skin. Make both straight
and circular movements (fig. 2).
Shaving on a dry face gives the best results.
Your skin may need some time to get used to this shaving system.
- Switch the appliance off.
- Put the dust cover on the shaver (fig. 3).
• Replace the shaving heads every 2 years (type HQ 3 Double Action)
for optimal shaving results.
Trimmer
• For grooming sideburns and moustache.
- Open the trimmer by pushing the slide upwards (fig. 4).
- Switch the appliance on.
Cleaning
• Regular cleaning of the shaver guarantees better shaving performance.
- Switch the appliance off, remove the mains plug from the socket
and disconnect the appliance plug from the shaver.
Every week: shaving unit
- Clean the top of the shaving unit with the brush supplied (fig. 5).
- Press the release button and take the shaving unit off the shaver
(fig. 6).
- Brush the inside of the shaving unit and the hair chamber (fig. 7
and 8).
- Put the shaving unit back onto the appliance.
Every two months: shaving heads
- Press the release button and take the shaving unit off the shaver
(fig. 6).
- Press the two sides of the S-shaped spring together and remove
the retaining frame (fig. 9).
- Slide the shaving heads out of the retaining frame (fig. 10 and 11).
Remove and clean only one shaving head at a time.
Avoid mixing the sets of cutters and guards up to maintain optimal
shaving performance.
- Brush the cutter carefully in the direction of the arrow (fig. 12).
- Brush the guard (fig. 13).
If necessary, use a degreasing liquid (e.g. alcohol). In this case,
remember to lubricate the shaving heads with a drop of sewing
machine oil after cleaning (fig. 14).
- Reassemble the shaving unit.
- Put the shaving unit back onto the appliance.
After every use: trimmer
- Clean the trimmer with the brush (fig. 15).
- Lubricate the trimmer teeth every six months with a drop of
sewing machine oil (fig. 16).
