A contact output (relay contact, changeover contact) generates a "device ready" signal
(GOK = DR).
The DR relay picks up (active state) if:
the auxiliary supply voltage is applied,
the device works correctly and
the communication on port 3 is undisturbed.
The DR relay drops off (inactive state) if any of the conditions mentioned above are not
fulfilled.
The FO-Repeater has a double function push-button:
If the push-button is pressed for less than 1 s, the device switches to Echo Mode. In
this operating mode, data received on port 1 and 2 is mirrored on the same port but
not forwarded to port 3 (remote control). This mode is indicated by a flashing Error or
Link Down/Echo Mode LED (red). The DR relay is not picked up (inactive state) in this
operating mode. This operating mode is used to check the local connection, e.g.
between the protection device and repeater.
If the push-button is pressed for more than 1 s, a reset is internally triggered, i.e. the
device performs a restart. Due to the reset the DR relay drops off and the internal logic
is reset. After the start-up, the device is in its normal operating mode. The DR relay
switches to the active state.
The Echo Mode is finished by the Reset Mode.
