Switching the system on/off

Press STANDBY -ON B (B on the remote).
"HELLO" is displayed briefly. The system will
switch to the last selected source.
Press SOURCE repeatedly (or DISC,
TUNER, TAPE or AUX on the remote).
The system will switch to the selected source.
To switch the system to standby mode
Press STANDBY -ON B (B on the remote).
The volume level (up to a maximum volume
level of 12), interactive sound settings, last
selected mode, source and tuner presets will be
retained in the player's memory.

Power-saving automatic standby

As a power-saving feature, the system will
automatically switch to Standby mode if you do
not press any buttons within 15 minutes after a
disc has stopped playing.

Sound Control

Press DSC repeatedly to select the desired
sound effect: FLAT, CLASSIC, JAZZ, POP or
ROCK.
Press DBB/INCREDIBLE SURROUND on
the system to switch on or off the surround
sound effect or bass enhancement.
You can also press DBB or IS on the remote to
turn on or off the DBB or IS function
respectively.
Note:
– The effect of INCREDIBLE SURROUND may
vary with different types of music.

Volume control

Turn the VOLUME control on the front panel
clockwise or anticlockwise or press VOL +/- on
the remote to increase or decrease the volume
level.
"VOLUME XX" is displayed on the display
panel. "XX" denotes the volume level.
To listen through the headphone
Connect the headphone plug to the n socket
on the top of the back side of the DVD player.
The speakers will be muted.

Basic Functions

To switch off the volume temporarily
Press MUTE on the remote.
Playback will continue without sound and
"MUTE" flashes.
To activate sound reproduction, you can:
– press MUTE again;
– adjust the volume controls;
– change source.

Microphone Mixing

IMPORTANT!
– You have to activate the "MIC
SETUP" option in the system setup
menu before using the karaoke function.
Connect a microphone (not supplied) to the
system to sing along with the music source.

Connect a microphone to the MIC jack.
Before connecting the microphone, set the
microphone level with VOL to the lower level to
prevent howling sound by turning the MIC VOL
knob.

In DISC mode, press SYSTEM MENU to
enter the system setup menu.

Press 22/33 on the remote to select
"AUDIO SETUP".

Press 5/4 to highlight "MIC SETUP". Then, press
33 or OK to enter its submenu.

Select "ON" with 5/4 and press OK to
confirm your selection. Then, press SYSTEM
MENU again to exit the system setup menu.

Press ECHO to increase or decrease the echo
between 00~08.

Start singing or talking through the microphone.

Press KEY to select the vocal key tone if
necessary.
Note:
– Keep the microphones away from the speakers
to prevent howling.

Key Control

This feature allows you to change the key tone
of your vocal range.
Press KEY on the remote to decrease or
increase the vocal key level between -6 and 06.
