6.3.8 FE260 with RS232/RS485 interface card

This interface card is used to communicate with PCs and other serial interface devices.
6.3.8.1 Preparation
Prerequisites for process described below:
The RS232/RS485 interface card (Elster No. 04407045) has been installed on a modem adapter
board (Elster No. 73016717) as described in "Vormontage_Analog_ISDN_CL_FA_a.doc".
This modem adapter board must be configured with the modem parameterization adapter, as
described in this document.
This modem adapter board must then be installed in the FE260.
The FE260 is connected and configured as described in chapter 6.3.1.
The serial communication link to the PC or other device is set up.
6.3.8.2 EK280 Parameterization

For parameterization of the EK280 you will require a connection cable for the optical interface as
well as the enSuite application, which can be downloaded for free at www.elster.com.
a) Connecting the time window
For the parameterization to work correctly, time windows 5 and 6 must be connected. To do this:
Connect a PC or laptop with enSuite installed to the EK280 optical interface using the connection
cable.
Start enSuite and set up the communication link to the EK280. (see chapter 3.1

Select "Navigation" on the left-hand side and then

In the top of the device window open the path "Parameter" > "Interfaces" by clicking on the relevant
