Battery Management
Your Energizer can be used with either a 9V non-rechargeable or a 12V
rechargeable battery. The Energizer includes several automatic features to help
extend battery life and prevent damage to the battery.
These include:
Automatic Pulse Rate
When the battery has approximately 20% capacity remaining the Energizer will
slow the pulse rate and the indicator LED will change from green to red.
12V batteries should be recharged as soon as possible.
Over discharge protection (12V only)
12V batteries typically have their life permanently reduced if they are over-
discharged. When the battery has 10% capacity remaining,
the Energizer will turn off. The Energizer will turn on again
automatically if the battery voltage increases again (e.g. if a
solar panel is connected and starts recharging the battery).
This feature can be disabled by changing the position of the
jumper/link next to the battery connection pins.
Applicable to 12V batteries only.
