16. REPACKAGING BEFORE SHIPMENT

16.1
Installing the Transit Support Screws before Transport
If it is necessary to remove the CheckScanner™ 2.0 from your laboratory, it must be prepared for
transport by installing the transit support screws and repacking has to be performed using the
original package including the transport pallet. Careful packing is essential for a safe transport.
Please follow the transit support screws installation and repackaging instructions below.
Before installing the transit support screws the CheckScanner™ has to be in the parking position.
TURN THE CheckScanner™ ON AND WAIT UNTIL THE AUTOMATIC INITIALISATION OF THE
CheckScanner™ IS FINISHED (Green LED signal). Now the CheckScanner™ 2.0 is in the parking
position and ready to install the transit support screws.
Turn the CheckScanner™ 2.0 off and disconnect it from the AC-adapter.

Open the CheckScanner™ 2.0 lid.
Check that there are no slides loaded.
Remove the two indicated plastic sealing
plugs and repack them.

Install the two red butterfl y screws by
turning in the direction indicated until they
are securely fi xed in position.

Before repackaging of the CheckScanner™ 2.0, please make sure that the device is free
of any potential hazardous components. Please follow the procedures in your laboratory
for disinfection of electronic devices and confi rm the decontamination by fi lling the GBO
document of compliance available on our homepage:

If the CheckScanner™ 2.0 has to be transported the transit support screws need to be
reinstalled before repackaging. Please follow the instructions below.
If the CheckScanner™ 2.0 initialisation can not be carried out completely
and/or error messages occur during initialisation, the parking position
can not be reached. In this case DO NOT INSTALL THE TRANSIT
SUPPORT SCREWS and repack/return the CheckScanner™ 2.0 without
installing the transit support screws.
