INSTRUCTION BULLETIN
NOTE: DO NOT DISCARD the Parts List from the Instruction Bulletin. Place the
Parts List in the appropriate place in the machine manual for future
reference. Retaining the Parts List will make it easier to reorder
individual parts and will save the cost of ordering an entire kit.
NOTE: Numbers in parenthesis ( ) are reference numbers for parts listed in Bill of Materials.

Installation instructions for kit number 9013364

SYNOPSIS:
This kit contains the parts needed to install a filter box strap kit on S30/S30 XP/S30 X4 sweepers
(serial numbers 006501 or higher).
Please follow step-by-step instructions.
SPECIAL TOOLS / CONSIDERATIONS: NONE
(Estimated time to complete: 10 minutes)

PREPARATION:

1. Park the machine on a clean level surface,
turn off the machine, remove the key, and set
the parking brake.
FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or servicing
machine, stop on level surface, turn off
machine, and remove key.
2. Unlatch and open the hopper cover. Support
the hopper cover open with the hopper cover
prop rod.
3. Remove the existing star knobs, straps, M8
hex screws, and flat washers from the filter
cover. Discard the star knobs, straps, M8 hex
screws, and flat washers. (Fig. 1)
NOTE: Do not remove / replace either M8 stud
(5) on the upper pre- filter box unless the existing
M8 stud(s) is / are damaged.

INSTALLATION:

1. Install a rubber strap (2) onto each star knob
(1). (Fig. 1)
2. Use an M8 hex screw (3) and flat washer (4)
to each both rubber strap (2) / star knob (1)
assembly from the previous step onto the filter
cover. (Fig. 1)
3. Place the filter cover onto the upper pre- filter
box and use the star knobs (1) to secure the
filter cover to the upper pre- filter box.(Fig. 1)
