Preparation before sewing

Installing the needle

CAUTION
• Turn off the power switch before
installing the needle. The machine may
operate if the treadle is depressed by
mistake, which could result in injury.

Turn the machine pulley to move the needle bar
to its highest position.

Loosen the set screw (1).

Insert the needle (2) straight in as far as it will go
so that the long groove (3) is facing inward, and
then securely tighten the set screws (1).
