Front connections and controls A wide variety of external equipment can be connected via the sockets located behind the flap on the TV. Do not use the S-Video and Video sockets at the same time. Press the centre of the flap to open it. Whilst all the necessary adjustments and controls for the TV are made using the remote control, the buttons on the TV may be used for some functions.
Selecting the language, Auto tune Before running Auto tune put your decoder and video recorder to Standby. To set up the TV use the buttons on the remote control as detailed on page 4. To choose the required language, press MENU and use R to select Set up from the top bar.
As an alternative to Auto tuning, the TV can be tuned-in manually using Manual tuning. For example: if the television cannot be connected to a video/decoder with a Scart lead. Use S and R to move across the screen and select any of these Manual Tune options. Programme System Programme: The number to be pressed on the remote control.

Depending on the type of broadcast being transmitted, programmes can be viewed in a number of formats. Press the button repeatedly to select between Super live, Cinema, Subtitle, 14:9, Wide and 4:3. Digital Surround Processor Dolby Pro Logic – Surround test mode Dolby Pro Logic is available on many TV broadcasts as well as video tapes and some DVDs. It uses a combination of 4 speaker channels – front-left, centre, front-right and two rear. If external front speakers are not connected, the left and right front channels will be delivered through the speakers in the TV and a centre channel will not be heard.
