4. Selecting an installation site and installing the control
box
• Avoid locations in direct sunlight
• Avoid locations exposed to outside air
• Avoid locations exposed to the elements or water splashes
• Avoid locations exposed to stream or oil vapor
• Avoid locations where combustible gas may leak, settle or be generated
• Avoid installation near machines emitting high-frequency waves
• Avoid places where acidic solutions are frequently handled
• Avoid places where sulfur-based or other sprays are frequently used
• Operation range for control box is -4°F to 115°F
• AH Control Box has a UL 60730 Pollution Degree of 2

4.1 Combining indoor units with outdoor units

For combining indoor units with outdoor units, refer to the AHU Controller Applications Manual.

4.2 Installing the control box

NOTE
• Per UL 60730, the factory-supplied lanyard shall be installed for compliance with
mechanical requirements.
• Do not install the control box without the cover. Be sure to replace cover after servicing
the control box.
Before mounting the control box, attach the provided lanyard to the back of the AHU Control Box using the
factory installed screw as shown in Figure 4.2.1.
