    The goal of this manual is to guide you through setting up and operating your Toshiba TV as quickly as possible. This manual applies to model 34HDX82. The model and serial numbers are on the back of your TV. Record these numbers in the spaces provided on the front cover of this manual for your records.

    Connecting a device to the DVI/HDCP The DVI/HDCP input on your TV is designed to accept HDCP program material in digital form from EIA/CEA-861–compliant consumer electronic devices, such as a set-top box or DVD player equipped with a DVI-D digital single-link output connection. The DVI/HDCP input is designed for best performance with 1080i high-definition video signals.

    Viewing the wide-screen picture formats You can view programs in a variety of picture sizes—Natural, Theater Wide 1, Theater Wide 2, Theater Wide 3, and Full. The way the image displays in any of the picture sizes will vary depending on the format of the program you are viewing. Select the picture size that displays the current program the way that looks best to you.
