The Toshiba SDP93S disc may not be spinning after making noises due to several possible causes:
1. Dirty or Damaged Disc – Fingerprints, dust, or scratches on the disc can prevent proper reading. Clean the disc with a soft cloth from the center outward. 2. Disc Format Incompatibility – Some functions and discs may not be supported by the player. Ensure the disc format is compatible (DVD-Video, DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD, etc.). 3. Improper Disc Handling – Warped or improperly stored discs may not spin correctly. Store discs vertically in a case. 4. Mechanical Issue – Internal components, such as the spindle motor or laser assembly, may be faulty. 5. Obstructions or Foreign Objects – Paper, tape, or debris on the disc can interfere with spinning. Ensure the disc is clean and free of attachments. 6. Power or Firmware Issues – An inconsistent power supply or system malfunction may cause the player to stop spinning the disc. Restart the device and check connections.
If the issue persists, contact Toshiba Customer Service for further assistance.
