Maintenance
Basic care of all fall protection equipment will prolong its service life and will contribute
toward the performance of its vital safety function.

Cleaning and Storage

This device must be kept clean and free of contaminants. Periodically clean the exterior of
the device and wipe the lifeline using a damp cloth and mild detergent.
When not in use, equipment shall be stored in a manner as to preclude damage from environmental
factors, such as temperature, light, UV, excessive moisture, oil, chemicals and their vapors, or other
degrading elements.
The lifeline should be fully retracted into the device when not in use.
During transport and storage, make sure your PPE is placed away from heat sources, humid-
ity, corrosive atmosphere, ultraviolet rays, etc. and prevent your PPE from being subjected to
any impact or excessive vibration.

7 - USEFUL LIFE

The useful life of a PPE composed mainly of metal is considered to be unlimited. However,
as the energy absorber is a textile strap, its useful life is 10 years, starting from the date of
manufacture. The following factors may reduce the product's performance and useful life:
incorrect storage and/or incorrect use (failure to follow the instructions in this manual), me-
chanical distortion, contact with chemical products (acids, basics, solvents etc.), exposure to
sources of intense heat > 50°C.
To extend the useful life of your device, you are advised not to:
• release the cable when it is completely paid out, but to feed it back into the fall protection
mechanism
• allow the cable to feed out when not in use.
• handle the device violently or submit it to impacts.
• expose the lifeline to bad weather.
• bend the retractable cable
