Connection of a production network to an enterprise network
● Enterprise network
The enterprise network makes available all resources for processing, replacement and
storage of the data existing in the company. Both the connections to the Internet and the
connections to the industrial network are protected by firewalls.
● Industrial network
The industrial network is divided into the backbone level and the cell level. As the name
suggests, the cell level consists of the individual automation cells with the corresponding
controllers, sensors and actuators.
