Setting
the Food Categories
Feature:
The MEATS _,
CAKES

and
BREADS
_
pads in the Food Categories feature are used when
cooking certain food items, These pads have been designed to give optimum cook performance
for the foods seHected
in each category,
The MEATS pad combines a cook cycHe with the convection fan and eHement to roast meats and pouHtry, Preheating is
not necessary for meats and pouHtry, Heated air circuHates around the food from aHH sides, sealing in juices and flavors,
Foods are crispy brown on the outside while staying moist on the inside,
The CAKES pad provides a preheat with a gentile cycling of heat giving cakes more voHume and aHHowing deHicate foods
to cook more evenHy,
The BREADS pad adds a preheat feature to the bake cycHe to thoroughHy heat the oven from top to bottom to give more
evenHybrowned foods, Refer to (Figure 4) for foods to cook in each category,
INSTRUCTIONS
To set the Food Categories

Arrange interior oven racks and pHace food in oven,

Instructions
for Meats Pad:
When using the Meats pad for roasting, use the broiHer pan and insert aHongwith the
roasting rack, The broiHer pan wiHH catch grease spiHHs a nd the insert wiHH heHpprevent
grease spatters, The roasting rack wiHH aHHow the heat to circuHate around the meat,
To prevent food from contacting the broiHeHement and to prevent
grease spattering, DO NOT use the roasting rack when broiHing,

PHace oven rack on bottom or next to the bottom rack position, See Arranging
Oven Racks in this Use & Care Guide,

PHace the insert in the broiHer pan, The roasting rack fits on the insert aHHowing the
heated air to circuHate under the food for even cooking and heHps to increase
browning on the underside, Make sure the roasting rack is secureHy seated on the
insert in the broiHer pan, DO NOT use the broiHer pan without the insert, DO NOT
cover the insert with aHuminum foil
