    5. Grasp unit in hand. To prevent splattering, place blade-end of blender to the bottom of container before turning on. 6. The hand blender has two speeds: LO and HI. Press and hold the speed switch to the desired setting for continuous blending. Slowly move the blender through the food up, down and sideways.
