Needless to say, the more powerful the transmitter performance of your router, the greater the range will be.

    Use a dry or slightly moistened, lint-free cloth to clean the NOXON. Do not use clean- ing products as they may damage the finish of the unit. To put it simply, just use the device sensibly.     But now let's connect it to your sound system. The audio output operates at line level. It's suitable for connecting to a line input of your stereo (labeled CD, AUX or VIDEO, for example) or an active speaker system such as those connected to many PCs and especially those of the thoughtfully-designed TerraTec product range.

    Network integration—one way or the other. Before we actually start setting up the NOXON, we have to make a distinction between two different ways of integrating the audio adapter. Ad hoc con- nection A - direct communication. On one hand, you may wish to set up the NOXON to communicate directly with your desktop or laptop PC, from device to device without an access point (AP).

    After launching the program and browsing your network for compatible devices, you will be shown an overview similar to the one above—all devices will be listed with their MAC ad- dresses (hardware IDs), names (default: “NOXON audio”), current IP addresses, quality of their wireless connections, and current profiles.

    The operating system of the NOXON can also be modified via the NOXON Manager. For the latest firmware, please visit the Service area in the NOXON section of the TerraTec website.     SSID. The NOXON can connect with an AP in order to obtain files from computers in the local network or audio streams from the Internet. Ad hoc network — Ad hoc network (ad hoc: Latin, literally “for this purpose”) refers to a wire- less network topology between two or more mobile devices without a fixed infrastructure.
